Clive’s Ukulele Show
Workshop 4.30pm-6pm; Show 8pm
Evening £5,
Workshop and Show £8
Clive Harvey is an experienced player and teacher of the ukulele.
Starting at the age of 4 he has amassed a wide repertoire into which
he has interwoven his own mainly comic songs. In the 80s his band
Roaring Jelly toured widely and is described in the Guinness Encyclopaedia
of Popular Music as 'pioneers of alternative comedy before the term
became fashionable'. Seeing Roaring Jelly is said to have been a
major inspiration for the formation of the Ukulele Orchestra of
Great Britain. Clive has performed on TV, radio and records, has
played onstage with Paul McCartney and supported Van Morrison. As
a solo entertainer his specialism now is interactive ukulele events.
His 'Uke-Can-Play Ukulele Show’ consists of a workshop followed
by a concert in which workshop attendees are invited to participate.
There are few instruments on which it's possible for a beginner
to go from workshop to performance on the same day. The uke is one!

The Bohemians
- Queen Tribute
Ticket Price £13, OAPs £10, Child (Under 16s) £10
The Bohemians re-enact the glory days of Queen including the ‘Craziness’
of the 70’s and the ‘Magic’ of the 80’s.
The band tour
with a large stage production including a Baby Grand Piano which
is played by Rob Comber (Freddie) during numbers such as Bohemian
Rhapsody, Killer Queen, Somebody To Love and We are The Champions.
Along with this, the band have an array of authentic Queen stage
costumes from the red PVC trousers worn by Freddie on the Crazy
Tour of the late 1970’s through to the famous yellow jacket
of the Magic tour in the 1980’s. And to top all this they
have a stack of Brian May AC 30 guitar amps!
The Bohemians
are a favourite with the ‘official Queen fan club’,
as they were the first look-a-like to headline the ‘Queen
fan club’ convention with an audience of over 2000!!
They were also first Queen tribute to be seen by Queen guitarist
‘Brian May’, who described the band as ‘brilliant’
and Queen drummer Roger Taylor who said "It's Uncanny".
If you love
to hear songs played and sung so faithfully and respectfully, and
like the ‘Queen live’ running order which includes songs
like Radio Ga Ga, Bohemian Rhapsody, and A Kind of magic - which
sound so fresh, so live, and so real then this is for you. These
four guys certainly do the songs justice - from the show opening
of We Will Rock You right through till the end of the final track,
We are the Champions!
